On my website, I sometimes share a few goodies such as free downloads, coupon codes etc. Signing up for these can require users to enter their email address, which is stored for the purposes of keeping a track of who has accessed the goodies, and to use it as a communication channel for newsletters, emails or other promotional media. By entering their email address, users agree that they are consciously making this decision and are aware of the possible use cases of this data.
